In all the discourses he had with his friends, Job never accused Satan of afflicting him. In fact, Job didn’t accuse God of afflicting him either.
While these women are often seen as cautionary figures, a closer look at their lives reveals three timeless principles of influence that shaped their relationships and ultimately ensured their words were heeded—even to the destruction of their men.
We do not know from scripture when Judas began to follow Jesus. However, we are certain that Judas Iscariot was there while Jesus performed so many miracles. He saw Jesus walk on water toward them, witnessed the resurrection of Lazarus, and had even seen Jesus disappear on two occasions. Judas had heard Jesus talk about himself as the Son of God and coming straight from heaven. He believed Jesus was capable of anything and everything.
As mothers, we carry the seed of the next generation and nurture it to fruition for the benefit of all and sundry. Don’t downplay your importance in the life and destiny of your child and the community as a whole.
Now, here’s what I find curious: in Satan’s attempt to disprove Job’s integrity to God, he struck everything, including Job’s ten children, but he left Job’s wife. Job’s wife was neither killed nor struck with any disease. Why?
This story isn’t just about ancient history. It’s a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of our words. As parents, we are the first “prophets” our children encounter. Our words can shape them, build them up with love and encouragement, or tear them down with criticism.
As Father’s Day approaches (June 16th, 2024), let’s consider a father from the scriptures who faced a unique challenge: Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus Christ.
Faith is a strong conviction of possible events which will align in our favour and we earnestly look forward to that expected end.
Most of the time, Christians remember having a powerful God when they have tried all they could without results. To such Christians, God is the last option. To them, God wants them to try all that is humanly possible and fail woefully then He would finally come through as their knight in shining armour to
